Ready for the energy transition
1st Flow Energy Solutions GmbH was founded in September 2018 with the aim of bringing redox flow batteries to the forefront of stationary energy storage.
Initially with the support of our American partner company Storion Energy Inc., which has been involved in the development of innovative VRF technology for over 20 years. This cooperation combined many years of expertise from a wide range of technology fields, such as fuel cell, exchanger, membrane and flow field development. The result is 1st Flow Energy Solutions' newly designed vanadium redox flow battery, capable of power densities exceeding conventional systems.
Our flow battery and its open-source energy management system (EMS) are the backbone for the fully integrated use of renewable energy in our daily lives, whether at home, at work or in public spaces. This ranges from stationary building energy cells to integrated mobility hubs.
To make the energy transition a reality, a holistic approach is being chosen and implemented here for the first time. This means that we want to bring renewable energy and its 24/7 use as an overall system into harmony with the variable applications and user behaviour.
Invest in your energy future. Store your renewable energy in a Redox Flow energy storage system from 1st Flow.

Successful together
Scientific expertise, a flair for innovation and openness to new partnerships – a wide variety of talents and skills complement each other in our team.
